Frequently Asked Questions
Becoming a Patient
How Do I Become A Patient Of Dr. Neff?
To begin your healing journey, please complete the New Patient Inquiry Form and share your health concerns with us. After submitting the form, I will send you an intake form specific for your health problems.
Do You Work With Insurance Providers
I will invoice you directly. Depending on your insurance cover, your insurance company may reimburse you some or all of the costs. The onus is however on you to confirm this, and I appreciate your payment at the earliest convenience.
Please notify your insurance company that any reimbursements should be sent directly to you.
Can Dr. Neff be my GP?
No, you need to have your own GP or primary care physician. I am a registered doctor in New Zealand and will guide you in preventive, nutritional and functional medicine to help you address the roots of chronic health problems.
What Do I Need To Do Before My Appointment?
Kindly complete the medical questionnaires I sent to you, and collect as much information as possible. The more details you can provide me with the better.
What Medical Records Do I Need To Provide?
I want to understand the full scope of who you are—your story, the events and factors influencing your health, and how these have shaped your current state. This discovery process helps us get to know you, your history, and your specific needs, allowing us to develop a treatment plan tailored to you.
– Summary of medical history from your Primary Care Provider within the last 12 months
– Conventional lab results from the past 3-6 months
– Functional Medicine test results within the last year

Do You Work With Cancer Patients?
Very much so. I have a special interest in holistic cancer care and in both Godfrey Medical Clinic in Tauranga, and IV Boutique clinic in Hamilton, we use high dose intravenous Vitamin C for that specific purpose. There is so much more to be offered in holistic cancer care. I work with cancer coaches and other providers to create an internal environment where cancer is less likely to thrive. For those currently undergoing treatment, I partner with their oncology team, focusing on nutrition and lifestyle modifications to boost the immune system, enhance detoxification, and provide support throughout their treatment. After treatment, I work to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Do you work with patients that have autoimmune disease?
Yes, I work with patients who have Autoimmunity and a Functional Medicine approach has led to great improvement.
Do You Work With Children?
I only work with children age 13 and over.
